Angela Guo
Director, Public/Private Partnerships
Angela Guo started her real estate development career over 11 years ago after a variety of different experiences; volunteering in Asia, event planning at Dwell Magazine, data crunching at a startup and interning at her father’s small real estate brokerage firm. Her approach to community-based asset building is based on her background and is infused with a passion to elevate communities of color and amplify those narratives.
Prior to joining HMS Development, Angela was a Financial Analyst at Enterprise Community Partners where she analyzed and underwrote affordable housing developments financed with the Low Income Housing Tax Credits and other subsidies. She has also directly managed real estate developments with nonprofit partners; examples of the projects include the development of an intergenerational community bringing together seniors and foster children with adoptive families as well as a drug and alcohol-free community which includes an outpost of a local nonprofit to provide additional services to those transitioning away from addiction.
Angela serves on the Advisory Board at the Portland State University Center for Real Estate and the Urban Land Institute, Portland Chapter. She also on the real estate advisory committee for the Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon. Angela studied Economics at Emory University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and received her Master in Real Estate Development from Portland State University.
